Clothes that
felt like her.
Before ImabyCassie became a brand, it began with a young woman’s search for clothes that felt like her.
Growing up, Cassie struggled to find pieces that fitted her curves and reflected her love of covered, feminine dressing. Fitted shirts, knee-length pencil skirts and long, flowing dresses cinched at the waist were favourites long before they became part of her design language.
Her mother, a fabric wholesaler, made her clothes. Helping her bring those pieces to life nurtured Cassie’s love of fashion. At 18, she began modelling for curvy clothing brands, later moving into influencing and attending fashion school.

After returning from fashion school at the end of 2021, she worked towards turning that love into a business, saving for machines and space to grow. ImabyCassie launched in April 2022, beginning at home with bespoke evening gowns, aso ebi and custom pieces for celebrations, weddings and everyday life.
Alongside her commissions, Cassie made the clothes she wore herself. Her corporate-casual dresses, defined waists and flared silhouettes drew a familiar question: “Did you make this?” Years of requests to buy those pieces inspired a ready-to-wear line in 2024.
But working with clients revealed that a single size label rarely told the whole story. Asking for individual measurements became a natural part of the process. After a period spent exploring other creative interests, including interior design, Cassie returned to the brand with a clearer direction: designs created by ImabyCassie, made to the measurements of the woman choosing them.
Today, that approach sits alongside the brand’s bespoke work. At its heart is Cassie’s wish to create clothes that stay in a wardrobe, are worn with affection and may one day be passed along, just as she has shared cherished pieces with her sisters.
